Workshop Overview

THE DRILLING WORKSHOP. Children enjoy using hand drills more than any other woodworking tools available in our workshops, and this class is just about that! The project is as much fun for younger children keen to learn to drill, as it is for older children who want to make a practical toy for a younger sibling. The final toy - a threading sheep helps children develop tactile skills, fine motor skills, concentration, and patience. - All tools, materials, and safety gear provided, - Children get to keep their wooden creations, - Suitable for boys & girls age 4-12, DURATION: approx. 1 hour, CLASS SIZE: up to 6 children only, PROJECT: a Wooden Threading Sheep toy, SKILLS TO LEARN: clamping, drilling, surface finishing. TOOLS USED: clamps, awl, hand drill, sanding blocks, and various grits of sanding paper. ATTENDANCE: Please arrive 15 min before the session starts to ensure children receive the necessary instructions and briefing from the Instructor. SAFETY: Closed-toe shoes must be worn at all times during woodworking classes. Due to Health & Safety regulations, children not wearing closed-toe shoes will not be permitted to take part in a woodworking class.
