Workshop Overview

ENJOY THE COMPANY OF WILD BIRDS IN YOUR OWN GARDEN! During this 2-hours workshop, children learn important DIY skills while making their own bird feeders. Our bird feeder will increase the number of birds in your garden and provide entertainment for the whole family. We will even give you some Seed Mix to get you started. While completing this project children learn how to join wooden elements together to make a 3-dimensional hollow structure. This class incorporates symmetry, gluing, drilling, hammering, installing a hinge, attaching a hanger, and more. It is NOT suitable for complete beginners, younger children, or those with a short attention span. - All tools, materials, and safety gear provided, - Children get to keep their wooden creations, - Suitable for boys & girls age 8-12, DURATION: approx. 2 hours, CLASS SIZE: up to 6 children only, PROJECT: a Wooden Bird Feeder, SKILLS TO LEARN: gluing, clamping, drilling, hammering, surface finishing TOOLS USED: clamps, awl, hand drill, hammer and nails, screwdrivers and various hardware, sanding blocks, and various grits of sanding paper. ATTENDANCE: Please arrive 15 min before the session starts to ensure children receive the necessary instructions and briefing from the Instructor. SAFETY: Closed-toe shoes must be worn at all times during woodworking classes. Due to Health & Safety regulations, children not wearing closed-toe shoes will not be permitted to take part in a woodworking class.
