Workshop Location
Our weekend workshops, from mid-January until the end of March 2026, will run on Saturday afternoons at Kai Tahi in Porirua.
Kai Tahi is a vibrant community hub and market precinct, connecting the city center with the waterfront. It features diverse food, retail, and art, including cafes, eateries, breweries, shops, and event spaces in a unique, airy building that has become a local landmark.
Workshop rules
In our workshops, children are expected to stay focused, follow instructions and complete the project independently. We use real tools that require independence, full mobility and responsible behaviour. Health and safety are our top priorities, and we cannot compromise on them. An accompanying parent is welcome to stay but is not permitted to participate in the workshop activities. If unsure, just ask about your child's suitability.
Choose the right class
Our 1-hour projects provide a comfortable introduction for beginners and younger children aged 6+. After completing our beginner's workshops, children aged 6-8 can take part in our 1.5-hour workshops. Older kids (8+) excel in 2-hour classes, refining focus and attention.
Please note that younger children cannot participate if they do not meet the age limit - just as a preschooler cannot attend college.
