Celebrate Wellington on a Plate at Kai Tahi in Porirua with Toymaker's special Craft a Wooden Stacking Burger workshop for children! Kids will craft their own wooden stacking burger toy to take home while learning practical woodworking skills in a fun, hands-on creative experience. With only four workshops available and just 8 places per session, bookings are limited, so secure your spot early. It's a fantastic opportunity for children aged 6-10 to create a unique wooden toy, learn to use real woodworking tools safely, and develop valuable new skills. Parents can enjoy some kid-free time by relaxing at the Kai Tahi eatery while their child takes part in the workshop. Please note that this workshop is strictly for children aged 6-10 years, and younger children cannot participate. CLASS SIZE: Limited to 8 Children. SKILLS COVERED: Measuring, clamping, sawing, drilling, hammering, joinery, and surface finishing. TOOLS & MATERIALS USED: Tools & Materials Used: Untreated pine wood, pull saw, square, carpenter's pencil, awl, clamps, hand drill, power drill, sanding blocks, mallet, various grits of sandpaper. ATTENDANCE: Please arrive 15 minutes early for important instructions from the instructor. SAFETY REQUIREMENT: Wear closed-toe shoes for safety. Children without them cannot participate. ACCOMPANYING PARENT: 1 parent may stay, but cannot join the activities.
Cancellation Policy
Confirmed bookings are non-refundable and non-transferable. Once booked, the spot is reserved exclusively for your child and cannot be allocated to others. Therefore, refunds are not applicable. Please note that if your child is unable to attend the workshop, credits or make-up classes will not be provided. Additionally, bookings cannot be transferred to future sessions or to other participants.
