Workshop Overview

Welcome aboard the TOYMAKER's Craft a Wooden Sailboat kids workshop, where young sailors-to-be embark on a 2-hour voyage of woodworking and craft mastery. In addition to honing essential skills like problem-solving, geometry, symmetry, and working with angles, participants will learn the art of sailboat creation. They'll delve into measuring and drawing techniques, master cross-cuts and angle-cuts, drill precise holes, expertly use glue for sturdy joins, and handle tools including hammers, screwdrivers, and hardware. This workshop is ideally suited for children with prior experience in woodwork and crafts. For younger or beginner sailors, we recommend our 1-hour classes. Let imaginations set sail with us! AGE LIMIT: 7-12 DURATION: Approx. 2 hours. CLASS SIZE: Limited to 8 Children. SKILLS COVERED: Measuring Angles, Creating Symmetrical Objects, Clamping, Sawing, Drilling, Joinery, Surface Finishing. TOOLS & MATERIALS USED: Untreated Pine Wood, Quick Square, Centre Finder, Carpenter's Pencil, Pull Saw, Sawing Guide, Clamps, Hand Drill, Hammer, Screwdrivers and Hardware, Sanding Blocks, and Various Grits of Sanding Paper. ATTENDANCE: Please arrive 15 minutes early for important instructions from the Instructor. SAFETY REQUIREMENT: Wear closed-toe shoes for safety. Children without them cannot participate. ACCOMPANYING PARENT: 1 parent is welcome to stay but should not take part in the activities.


Cancellation Policy

Confirmed bookings are non-refundable and non-transferable. Once booked, the spot is reserved exclusively for your child and cannot be allocated to others. Therefore, refunds are not applicable. Please note that if your child is unable to attend the workshop, credits or make-up classes will not be provided. Additionally, bookings cannot be transferred to future sessions or to other participants.
